Hi Kids:

How are all of my kids doing?I hope that everyone is doing well and feeling well? Ya know that Momma bear has to get nosey on here and ask all of you,"What are your favorite foods for the fall?" Do you like comfort foods like stews, casseroles,or soups,or are you like me and you really look forward to the fall bounty of different desserts?? This is my FAVORITE time of the year because I love the cool, crisp air,the leaves are turning beautiful colors, and there isn't any snow or ice yet on the ground,or on the roads,YAY!! Here are some of my favorite fall time food treats:

1. I love the smell of an apple pie baking in the oven and when the pie is done baking,I can hardly wait for it to cool off enough so I can eat it! I have burnt my poor little bear tongue a few times because I didn't wait for the pie to cool down,OWIE!!*WHIMPERS*

2. This is the time of year that I love HEARTY meals like beef stew and biscuits, chicken and dumplings, pot roast with mashed taters and gravy, corn, and of course a nice cherry or apple pie for dessert!

3. I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE,the Thanksgiving time of the year!! I love the Turkey, dressing (Stuffing),Mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet corn, buttermilk biscuits, veggies and dip, sweet potatoes, and of course pumpkin pie and whipped cream for dessert,YUMMY!! *JUMPS UP AND DOWN JUST THINKING ABOUT IT!*

4.I also love the fall time of the year to go to the apple cider and doughnut mills, caramel apples, candy corn, caramel corn, apple and cherry cobblers and pies. I also love the pumpkin bread, banana breads, sugar cookies decorated with different colored frostings and designs, fudge, and of course the smell of homemade doughnuts, and drinking apple cider with them! YUM! ;-)

What are some of your favorite fall time foods?? I forgot to also mention that I love the cracker and cheese platters during the holidays, the veggie and dip platters, and of course the different assortment of desserts too,I love chocolate pies, cookies, fudge, candy, etc!!

Winnie gives all of her kids on here (((((((LOTS AND LOTS OF HUGS)))))) Winnie *SMILES* and *WINKS* and *BLUSHES* ;-)

Awwww Cheryl, you are always SUCH A SWEETHEART!! *Winnie gives Cheryl great big bear hugs GRRRRR)))))) Winnie *GIGGLES* To tell you the truth,if we go and get apple cider and doughnuts from the cider mill,we have apple juice that has been pasturized for Winnie 2 to drink, because apple cider usually isn't pasturized. I don't want her to get ill,so I will give her a cup of apple juice and DH and I will enjoy a cup of apple cider! Oh the apple mills are so beautiful with all of their different kinds of apples, and the smell coming from the bakery of freshly made doughnuts makes your stomach growl! Usually,we can find plain doughnuts (The plain brown round ones),powdered doughnuts, and cinnamon and sugar doughnuts! DH,Winnie 2 and I love the plain doughnuts and powdered doughnuts the best! Oh how I wish they had glazed doughnuts at the cider mills too,YUM,YUM!! Winnie *GIGGLES* The ham hocks, pot of beans and cornbread sound soooo good, when is dinner?? I'll bring the buttermilk biscuits and my homemade honey fresh from hundered acre woods!! Winnie gives Cheryl (((LOTS AND LOTS OF HUGS))))) Winnie *SMILES* and *LAUGHS* ;-)

We need a drool icon! LOL

I too love Thanksgiving and miss it dearly! I love it much more than xmas, in the US. But since we don't have Turkey day here, I get my fill of "t-day type food" at xmas here in Finland.

Maybe this year I'll have to bring back a can of cranberry sauce with me to have at T-day weekend... *drool* (Can cranberry sauce be frozen? My DH doesn't like it..)

Karen has made me hungry for chili! Got a recipe to share, girl?!?!

Maybe I should make Brazilian black bean soup also.. *drool* I'm hungry!!

I'm not sure what favorites I have, but my DH and I do lots of soups. Quick, easy and hit the spot on a cold fall/winter day!

about three days without water,

about eight minutes without air...

but only for one second without hope.

Hanna, what does moose meat taste like?

What I love about fall food are the vegetable soups that are so easy to make, and nice to share with friends.
