And I already have a question ;). I am in the process of buying a new set of pots and pans. I am so tempted to save a little longer and go ahead and get the Calphalon One but at the same time I am wondering what people are really satisfied with. My question, I guess, is: What is your favorite line of pots and pans to use? Do you think it would be wise to hold out a little longer for the Calphalon One?

That was very helpful! TYVM!

A little something about me - I was 9 when I got interested in cooking. I wasleft with my grandmother in the mornings and I had to either eat her cooking (which was real bad), starve, or learn how to cook. I chose to learn how to cook ;). My mom has been in the catering/restaurtant business since I can remember. She's a gourmet cook. I love to cook and that is where I find I can get creative and explore and there's always something new out there to find. I did think about going to culinary school but being a muslim made that a definite no deal. I could probably work my way out of handling pork and pork by products but how would I work my way around not having to handle alcohol and still pass *shrugs*. So I cook for my family and friends and they love the experiments. Right now i have a 7 months old son and I am creatively working on baby food recipies.

It's cool you have a goat! I keep telling my DH I want a cow lol. I love dairy and the idea of having fresh milk everyday is a dream to me! I live in Nashville, TN and some of the people here have cows. Whenever we drive by I say, "I want a cow." I'm hoping that repitition will do the trick ;)

Nice to see new face! By your name I guessed you were a Muslim. Is you name Peri or Perivers?

Anyway, I am the odd Swede over here, still living in my beloved Sweden.

If you are near a Ikea store check out their pots and pans, they are of good quality and has snug lids.

Hugs/ Hanna

Where is she from? I'm Kurdish from the northern Iraq region. I've never thought about being called Shani. That sounds better than Peri! But as long as I can remember I've been called Peri except it has been pronounced Pari. Peri has a nicer meaning than Perishan but Shani has an even sweeter meaning lol. Perishan-melencoly(sp); Peri-dark haired beauty in heaven; Shani- honeycomb lol.

Right now my DH is going to get me the Kirkland nonstick cookware. It's Costco's brand. I checked it out and it's a good quality but to be honest I would much rather have the Calphalon One. I WILL eventually get it lol. I guess once I have my pennies saved. Even if it takes me years to do it! LOL, I'm a little crazy that way.

Wow how awsome! I was named Perishan cause when i was born the Kurds were going through a terrible ordeal so my father named me that in representation of all Kurds. But I feel sorry for your friend for having a father like that.

Your dad is awsome lol! He reminds me of my DH. I hate taking pictures and the only way my DH could get me to take them was to trick me into them. He would say, "Get dress up cause we're going out." He would make sure I didn't see the camera. Then in the mall he would say, "Go stand by that fountain while I go get something." Then he would pull out the camera and catch me by suprise. It was then I realized that he just wanted to get some pictures lol.
