Just took some photos of my sisters place yesterday, she and her family live in a 40 acre blueberry farm! It about 2 weeks they will be ready for picking! I cant wait!
Baby blueberry plants, they have to stay in the pots for a year and then get planted into the ground.

WAVING!! Hi Mel!
There are wild blackberries around here!!! We are going up to okanagan, BC when my mum gets here, apparently its the fruit capital of Canada, My sister wants to get a box of cherries, and I want plums!!
Ouch that sucks about your leg! how many blackberries did you get??
hi Melissa!
So you are in Canada eh?
I'm located in Southern Ontario near the Niagara Fruit belt. I have been to the Okanagan Valley and it's so beautiful!!
I LOVE blueberries....eat them all year long!

GNAT!!!
I love frozen blueberries, I like to top my cereal, yogurt, ice cream, and cake with them.
Oh, how I have missed you too!
I've had several weeks of insanity in my life.
My MIL has been ill for weeks and we were having to go to her apartment every night. It got to the point where she couldn't walk and kept falling. We took her to the doctor and he said it was just muscle atrophy.(stupid doctor!)
Turns out it was diabetes. The homecare worker(we had someone coming twice a day while we were all at work) was there two weeks ago in the morning and called 911 because she was very confused and her nightgown caught on fire from her cigarette!!
Her blood sugar was over 100....I know the numbers in Canada are different so to give you an idea between 4 to 7 is normal.
She almost died.
She's been in the hospital for two weeks and they are releasing her today. Big changes for her. She's still quite young at 65 but her health has been poor for quite some time and she has very little social contact due to depression.
Amidst all of this we planted a veggie garden! so I'm very excited about that.

YUM, Melissa! I miss blackberries of all kinds!
It is rare to find something blackberry flavored here.. and I sure do miss picking them in the "wild" (around our neighborhood).
Eat some for me please!
Curious Chef
Oh dear, Nathalie!
