You all know I love to cook and especially bake, well, I'm at a loss!!

DH and I have 4-5 adults coming over on Saturday evening to play games. I would like to make some yummy food beforehand, but I'm feeling sort of bleh these last few days and no ideas are coming to mind..
Last weekend I thought of stew and homemade bread, but I'm not in the mood for that at this instant. (It could change by Sat..) DH and I also thought of tacos, but home made bread doesn't go with that. LOL

I haven't even started thinking of desserts..

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

I was just working with this recipe from Australia, figuring out how to make it with what I have at Kroger.

I know it may be simple but what about sandwiches.

I'm still feeling a bit lazy..so, Tacos it is going to be. Tacos do take some prep, but they are still easy to make and I don't have to think about making them, I could do them in my sleep!

I'm still stuck on a dessert. I might go the lazy way on that too and just make brownies. :) Might add some raspberries to them though.. fruits are sounding good at this time of the year (even if they are frozen).

Sandwiches are fun and I have done that before!
As I told Karen, I'm going to be "lazy" with tacos. :) I just don't have it in my to be that creative right now. :) Although, I do have the desire stirring in me, it just isn't coming out. LOL

Tacos are a very simple solution.

Even easier, do a taco salad bar. Set it up buffet style and let them build their own. Do up the seasoned meat or chicken, put out a bag bowl of lettuce and smaller bowls with all of the toppings - meat, cheese, tomatoes, green onions, olives, salsa, sour cream, ranch dressing, tortilla chips, beans, whatever you want. Then do a sundae bar for dessert like Karen suggested.

Thumbs up, this used to be my answer to dinner (even Christmas) parties when I was in the restaurant biz and got home tired of cooking.

Its funny how someone's version of "Taco" is different than the next persons.

That is exactly what I am doing! Meat will be cooked and everything sliced, diced, chopped and ready for people to put their own topping in or on their crispy corn or soft flour tortillas.

(I'll tell more later..people are coming soon and I'm not 100% ready!)

the real, authentic, Mexican neighbors I have make tacos as a sort of casserole.
