So...3YO DD has informed me that she wants to be a "dead bird" for Halloween.

I guess for me, it would be how you executed (terrible wording lol) the costume. Ask her what she considers to be a "dead bird" costume. I know that my Rian has the craziest of imaginations and sometimes what he means and what he says are similar but not exactly what I would think he meant. You could make it really cute, like a black bird with little X's on her eyes...like something out of a cartoon or storybook. I don't know. I guess my question would be what she thinks her costume should look like.

She says she wants to be a "dead Skittles." Skittles is our pet parakeet. I guess we could find a parrot costume and put Xs on the eyes and maybe tire tracks across the front? I was just really surprised that this is her answer to the "What do you want to be for Halloween" question! Last year, the kid wanted to be a unicorn!

Maybe she's seeing all the "scary" costumes of halloween and wants to go that route. Kids are so imaginative at that age! I know my daughter was always drawn to the witches and skeletons and Frankenstein's Bride (last year) rather than the fluffy ballerinas and kitty cats. I'm sure you could make it cute and she might win a couple costume contests! ;)
