Soft ice cream

Can anyone help me with my problem? My ice cream remains soft in my freezer even though everything else is frozen solid and it is turned to the coldest temp on the dial. This side-by-side refrig/freezer is only 2 years old. Of course out of warranty and I would rather not pay a service call if I don't have to. We'll stop eating ice cream first. I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks

Are you keeping the ice cream in a door rack?

Along with the response from K-roni, consider this:

Thanks K-roni and Mitch for your advice. I will get a thermometer and see what temps are in there. Also I will try the ice cream on the bottom shelve. I pulled the refrig out night before last and cleaned behind and underneath really good. The only thing that bothers me is I've never had this problem before. Hate to be so cheap, but retirement lends fixed income, but "ya have to do what ya have to do"! Can't loose what I have in food items.

Thanks again,

Kathy

I had the exact same problem with my side by side.
