Ammonia wards dogs away from areas you don't want them to "mark." Can ammonia be used in the yard to ward away deer from young trees?

You're talking about one of those thingies, like the Miracle grow lawn feeder thingy, that you attach to the end of the hose, right? I think I have one around here, somewhere.


We do use mothballs, but DH tosses them under the bushes and around the trees. Hanging them in a net or mesh bag sounds good. We may start a new neighborhood lawn decorating trend, ROFLMBO!

My personal favorite slug treatment is beer in a saucer to attract them, then a sprinkle of coarse salt to melt them. hehehe


The only thing is, DH hates to dispose of the mush. yicky
