Do you have anything in your pantry or refrigerator that could be considered as a meal for those at home, when you're not going to be there, or do you make ahead for such occasions, and hope that they will appreciate the effort, and simply take the time to heat that back up?

What do, or can you make ahead, that even children can call a full meal, for when you're not going to be home to make up a full, or parts of that meal?

So far, I've made lasagna, pre cooked chicken breasts, did some meat balls in sauce, and manicotti, and with each, left fresh salad fixings for them to make up for themselves.

When I had kids at home, and worked 2 jobs, I cooked twice a week, 3 meals at a time,

I make a macaroni salad that's a meal in itself.

I use noodles, cheese, peas, pickles, eggs,

mustard, mayo, salt and pepper. It covers

the basic food groups and best of all, it's

ready to go with no reheating.
