5th grade graduation meal question

What main dish would go over best for a graduation party for a fifth grader, moving up to "middle school"?
Not burgers and dogs..believe it or not, not her favorite....I do think that some kind of finger food will be most of the meal, but the main course I'de like something with a bit more flare...is that asking to much of such young children????

My immediate thought was to consult my Betty Crocker Cookbook for Boys and Girls (aimed at kids that age).
Actually, having them make their own tacos does sound good.
Yes I think the tacos are a good idea and kids usually love them.
