If you have a cool place to put in and something to put it in you can thaw it in water, http://recipes.howstuffworks.com/tools-and-techniques/question516.htm

I love fowl too....we eat a lot of turkey. I also will fix a couple wings or legs with dressing...for the 2 of us.

If I can get a fresh turkey I have them cut it in half......so if I need something for company I can fix a 12# half in less time..

I then take the leftovers and sometimes grind it and make sandwich meat or take the chunks and make a gravy and have it over mashed taters or bread......

I was browsing Kroger Thursday night and thought about you when I saw the display of turkey legs, necks, wings, breasts, and whole birds that they are beginning to stock for Easter and such.
