When I was young, one of the luxury items that every table required was the butter dish.

I rarely use stick butter but keep it in the house for when a recipe calls for a stick of butter.

I have the butter dish that came for my fridge and it sits empty right now, in the door of the fridge.

I keep tub margarine around for the BF, but I use stick butter almost exclusively.

I am not a bread eater, either, I suppose that is why I suddenly noticed that I have not used my nice butter dish in a while!
