Hi everyone,

Does anyone have a great fruit salad recipe that is easy to make? I have to make a fruit salad for Easter brunch and I do not know how to make one.

Thanks for your help.

Ok...I don't have a recipe, I just use whatever fruit looks appealling or I have in the house...but I do have a tip...if you have not quite ripe fruit or grocery store fruit that just doesn't have a lot of flavor add some defrosted fruit juice concentrate in a "fruit salad" flavor...such as one of the berry flavors. Add about as much as you would salad dressing and toss with the fruit. Everyone raves about how I always get such good strawberries. LOL

That a girl Daisy! You watch that "Iron Chef" - just remember - this is one of those "fun" shows. Not to be taken too seriously.

Sandy

P.S. - you can leave out the coconut if you like - and you can add in some sliced fresh strawberries - just add the strawberries just before serving unless you like "pink" fruit salad.

Mmm... thumbs up on this one too! I remember my mom making something like this when i was a kid. I'm not much for coconut so I really never wanted to make it, but my husband loves it. Maybe i'll make it for him! That ought to buy me some leverage.. .LOL.

Hey, I noticed commercials for Iron Cook for the next 4 Saturday nights... i'm going to try to tune in!

Here is one of my family's favorites. It just would not be a holiday without it!

Millionaire Salad

2 cups miniature marshmallows

1 cup flaked sweetened coconut

2 (11 oz.) cans manarin oranges in light syrup, drained

1 (20oz) can crushed or cubed pineapple in juice, drained

1 (8-oz) carton low or non-fat sour cream

1 (8-oz) carton plain fat-free yogurt

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Cover and chill - the longer the better - over night works well.

I have one that I've made over the years and everyone always says how great it is and asks for the recipe!

***********************************

Ingredients

1 can of fruit cocktail (drained)

1 Banana

1 Tbs Mayonaise

Drain the fruit cocktail, add mayo and mix well. Just before serving, add sliced banana. If you wanted to get fancy, you could also add some shredded coconut to it.

***********************************

Now if you are expecting a crowd, just double or triple the recipe!

Now, How easy is that? And it's VERY good! You don't have to wait for the fruit to be in season with this one!!
