Topping 2 T. sugar 1/2 t. nutmeg
Preheat oven to 350*. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. In separate bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, milk, andvanilla to butter mixture; mix well. Stir butter mixture into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in berries. Fillcups 2/3 full. Mix topping and sprinkle over muffins. Bake 20-25 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan.

Preheat oven to 400F degrees. Stir dry ingredients together in a large bowl. In a medium bowl stir together wet ingredients w/spices and vanilla. Mix wet into dry until moistened - don’t overstir. In a prepared muffin tin Spoon in batter about ¾ full. Bake for about 15 – 20 minutes until golden Brown. Makes 12 muffins.
