Butter or Margarine?

I generally prefer margarine. I think it has more flavor than butter. What do you think?

I eat with margarine and cook with butter. Not sure why...

I think it is margarine is easy to spread. And butter cooks/bakes better.

I mostly use butter.... i compared the ingredients of the two and i decided that butter was more healthy, even with the fat. All those weird things scare me. My husband bought LIGHT butter once and even IT had weird stuff. I do use I Can't Believe It's Not Butter every so often though.

You are so right about the ingredients Daisy.

That trans-fatty acid and hydrogenated business scares me.

My thing with butter tho is that you have to think ahead. (vbg). You know, so it will soften up a bit.

In the end, we do use that Smart Balance stuff for toast or potatoes, but if butter is called for in a recipe, we use butter.

Butter for me but only in small doses. We do use Brummel and Brown which (get this) is made from yougurt! Pretty good stuff but it does tend to make toast soggy.
