I'm curious if any of you are 'funny' about your pots and pans.(vbg)

I always heard that you should buy GOod pots and pans...and I have an expensive heavy duty 12 inch skillet that cost me an arm and leg, BUT, , I HATE it!! It's too heavy and actually doesn't even FIT on my cooktop.

I have a WearEver skillet that is non-stick and has a glass top and when you turn the lid Just so, you can drain the grease from browning ground beef - - I LOVE it.

I enjoy my LeCreuset Deep pan that can go in the oven....it was a good buy. I also like my grill pan.

But, all in all, I have found that the way I cook, I don't need or even want those designer pans.

I agree with you... i don't think you have to have expensive pots & pans.... but I've made the mistake of buying cheap ones too... it was terrible!

Tracy - do you have to clean those copper bottoms in a special way?

Tracy I have a set of those with the copper bottoms and I love them. These are really old and I do scrub the bottoms of them with a white paste (don't know if you have Gumption there, or maybe Jif), it sounds a pain but it isn't I don't do it often.....um maybe every few months!
