Well, my house is so ugly on the inside! It's major 70's decor - I'm talking there is STILL shag carpeting in one of the guest rooms! That will be the baby's room so it will be redone soon!

Anyways, the kitchen has yellow formica counter tops, the walls are cream with an ugly pink and blue flowered border that is falling off. The backsplash tiles are cream so they can stay. The cupboards are very dark and very old. Everything needs to be replaced but kitchens are soooo expensive and we just don't have the money for that now. We also need a new floor - the tile is these squares that just stick on (you know what I'm talking about). It is cream with pink and blue flowers that match the border. Fortunately the flowers are quite faded so it just looks cream. LOL!

We get nice sunlight in the kitchen and a nice breeze. I do have to admit it is a nice sized kitchen so that is a good thing.

Yeah, the baby is more important. I can live with the ugly decor for now. The shag carpet that is coming back in style is a little different, but I'm still not fond of it! LOL! And this carpet smells funny...I think it's like mildewed or something. So it definitely is going to go! DH said he used to love the shag carpet b/c he could make roads on it with his matchbox cars! LOL!! So he wants to keep it! I'm putting my foot down on this!

I love my kitchen, it has country white walls, light blue countertops, blue print curtains on window and glass door, blue tiffiany style light over the oak table and chairs. My cabinets are solid oak dropped down from the ceiling and on top of them are green silk plants and cobalt blue and white cups and saucers and little plates. I have glass doors on some of the cabinets in the eating area and I have blue willow dishes and cobalt blue glasses inside so they can be seen. My floor is an oak pergo, it is really a pretty kitchen and I love it. Hugs Barb

Ohhhhh, that sounds like a really classy looking kitchen, like something on a TV show.
