I'm needing something light after last night's dinner out....I tried their Sicilian Grilled Meatloaf and it was Lip-smacking good! with Italian vegetables and pasta.....YUM,YUM.

So, I'm thinking of doing ole Rachel Ray's (30 Minute Meals)

Oh, I LOVE Rachel Ray!!!! We have her first cookbook, will be buying the second one soon!! We even watch her show almost-religiously! LOL Many times, our grocery list is made out only after looking thru her book.

Because the weather is so crummy out today (high winds, cool and rainy) I'm most likely going to make either chicken-rice soup or chicken corn chowder.

(the tuna cakes turned out fantastically last night!! I was right,I didn't have the chipotle powder, so I ended up using the Old Bay seasoning.......soooooooo yummy! The family couldn't get enough!!)

Carrie - - you are not alone in your fondness for Rachel Ray! Daisy, one of our CLs here is also a big Rachel fan, and a couple of others too.

I get such a kick out of her,,, that "he,he,he" she does and her facial expressions!(LOL)....some folks find her annoying (vbg), but I think she's cute! But, more important, her meals are really "quick and easy" (vbg).

I had thought about buying one of her books, but I've just been getting the recipes off the Foodtv.com site....does she have much chit-chat in her books, or are they pretty much straight recipes?

I haven't made chili in ages!! What a good idea!

I'll have to make me up a batch this weekend.

You are so lucky to have a Momma that feeds you!(lol)

Bless her heart, my Mom was Not that great a cook.

Well, Dad is a true carnivore so meat has to be in it! And my DH doesn't care for the beans, but who can have chili without beans!? So, she puts both in, in about equal amounts.

My mom doesn't cook often, but when she does it is always wonderful! And we live right across the street from them, so it's quite convienient to have dinner already made for me when I get home from work! LOL!

OHHH! Good luck at the dentist! I hate going to the dentist! Strange though b/c I've never had a cavity (at least in my adult teeth!) so I have no reason to be afraid...but I do hate it!

Good luck and I hope you don't have to be tortured!
