The cold destroyed my gladiola and dahlia garden already. But they sure were pretty when they were at their peak! I wnated to plant my tulips and daffodils for spring, but our first frost came waaay early this year and we weren't expecting it so it's a little too late now.

I think next year I will do a veggie garden too. Maybe lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, zuchinni and cucumbers. That sounds good!

Veggie garden is done -- our first freeze came about a couple weeks ago. Tomatoes, cucumbers, jalapeno peppers, basil, orgegano, rozemary, dill and mint. Oh, and my son planted sunflowers that grew to almost 9ft!!! Most of the herbs I was able to salvage, and they are hanging in bundles, drying in my kitchen.

I also have a few rose bushes (that have now become dormant) and mums, which are flourishing and gorgeous!!!
