The perfect salad for me would begin with a combo of leafy iceberg lettuce, fresh spinach, and radicchio. Add shredded carrot, red onion, broccoli, diced hard-boiled egg, beet, cheddar cheese, and croutons. Dressing would be a perfect Ranch (either Hidden Valley or a good house dressing).

Mmmmmmmmmmm.......now I may have to run to the store for dinner fixin's! lol

Romaine lettuce, lots of garbanzo beans, crumbled bleu cheese, shaved carrots, diced cucumber, little bit of onion, croutons and olive oil and balsamic vinegar for the dressing!

My perfect salad would be either baby mixed greens (with lots of arugula), crumbled blue cheese, walnuts, pears and a balsamic vinegrette or mixed greens with a ton of fresh veggies (peppers, carrots, broccoli, mushrooms, cucumbers, etc.) and blue cheese dressing.

Now I'm hungry for a salad.

My favorite salad is a caesar salad....with really garlic-y croutons and dripping with dressing.

Next to that is a simple salad of iceberg and romaine with red onions sliced super-thin and a dab of Catalina dressing.

Well, I have a lot of favorite salads but the most versatile would have iceberg, romaine and some of the funky lettuce, cucumbers, red onion, bell pepper (red or orange), fresh mushrooms, shredded carrots, a little goat cheese (or cheddar is fine too) and croutons. And blue cheese dressing for me - followed closely by creamy paremsan.

My perfect salad is a mix of baby greens and romaine lettuce with chick peas, cheddar cheese, green pepper, eggs, celery and a red french (catalina or russian) dressing with crumbled saltines on top (in place of croutons... i've heard they're better

I had the best ever salad at a tiny restaurant in Moonstone Beach near the Hearst Castle. We were staying at the motel next door so we just walked over and I havent been able to forget it. It was on a bed of lettuce on a plate with 1/2 an avocado - sliced, with lots of bacon, gorgonzola, and candied walnuts - it was soooo good ! I've tried to duplicate it but it never tastes as good.

This is my runner up ... I only make it once a year for christmas (but I get to scarf up the leftovers if I'm lucky:)

They both sound great...of course anything with bacon in it is okay in my book ;-)
