I only own two christmas cd's - they are my favorites, I guess.

A Very Merry Christmas - its a mix with lots of different artists

Harry Connick Jr.

But, I also remember a tape from when I was a kid of Brenda Lee songs that I 'loved' and played over and over again!

Daisy,

As I wrote my answer, I had a feeling you'd know who both Conniff and Miller were.

I have got to get that Harry Connick Cd...I bet it is great.

It's funny how the x-mas music we listened to while growing up sticks with us...I have old cassette tapes and records but haven't anything to play them on anymore!(lol)

Sing Along with Mitch?!?!????? I LOVE THAT ALBUM!!!!!!!!!! I remember years of getting that out with my parents while we decorated the tree!!! That is definitely one of my absolute fav alubms!!!! Another one from when I was young is Brenda Lee (Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree!!!) And yes, I was one of the only ones I knew who had any clue who Mitch Miller was!!

I also adore the Andrew Sisters, Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney, etc. I have holiday CDs of them all!! My fav of those singers, tho, is my Christmas CD of Nat King Cole. Oh, his voice was velvet!!

Another fav I have (I love Christmas music, so I canNOT pick one favorite!) is "Christmas Card" by the Statler Brothers.

As for newer artists (LOL), I have one that came out last season, "A Classic Rock Christmas" with artists like Styx, REO Speedwagon, Jon Waite, Eddie Money, even Father Guido Sarducci!! There are a few traditional songs, but most of them are newly written. It's great!!!

My kids fav right now is "Christmas with Alvin and the Chipmunks" (another fav from my childhood!).

And then there are the neverending copies of traditional song compilations that we have!! It's so hard to not listen to this music year-round!! (I would absolutely drive my family crazy!! ROFL)
