January Cyclers - Come out and play...

I don't think we have an official January Cyclers Club so I will start a thread. I know a bunch of us were kinda in the December group (winter cyclers) but I thought I still would do one for our January ladies.

My info:
I am Christy and just turned 37 and DH is 42. We have been trying for our first since 2006 and finally went to the RE in 2010. (I know, we should have went sooner but DH wanted things to happen naturally). Since 2010, I had one ectopic on my first IUI and 5 BFN IUIs so I am onto IVF. There were a few delays and I am finally ready to start my first IVF cycle. Thank goodness!!!

Hey familiar face! :)

My info:
I'm Jamie, just turned 30. DH is 31. Since starting TTC in January 2008, we learned we're dealing with male factor infertility (1% critical morph and low count and motility to boot). Got pg on a miracle IUI (only had 2.6 million post wash) in October 2009, but lost it two months later. Several IUIs since with no luck. Our last IUI attempt was February 2011, and since that was a bust, we put TTC on hold so we could pay off some debt this year and save up for IVF. I just started my Lupron menses and had my baseline scan on Monday. Due to the holidays, I have to wait to start stims so I'm on 10 units of Lupron until then. Seems like we're ALWAYS waiting! :)

My dates so far:
Dec 19: Lupron menses started, baseline scan all clear
Now - Dec 27: 10 units of Lupron until after the ART lab opens back up after the holidays
Dec 27: Start 150 FSH, 75 Menopur; decrease Lupron to 5 units
Dec 29: Scan & Bloodwork
January 7 - 10: estimated ER if I respond well :)

I am trying very hard at embracing the ignorance is bliss approach...I don't want to make myself any crazier by comparing cycles and Googling statistics and analyzing everything to death. I'm trying to put it fully in my RE's hands...focusing on their top 5% ranking nationally and the fact that they do this for a living and know what they're doing...and staying somewhat calm by listening to my Circle & Bloom meditations :) But that doesn't mean I won't need support and encouragement from others going through it too!

Pix: I have also been on the Vivelle patches. I have been wearing 4 patches on my abdomen ince december 13th..changing them every other day. Let's just say my stomach looks like a glue lined patchwork quilt! My RE never EVER even mentioned an oral version....I'd rather take a pill than wear these things! LOL

I haven't had any side effects....that I have noticed.

Michelle!! How many are you going to transfer for your FET? I think you said you have 2 left...right?

Yes, definitely doing ICSI. My RE automatically does ICSI if morphology is under a certain percentage and we ARE the 1%, lol :)
