Hi again - I would imagine on something like this, they could make an exception if they wanted to.

I have been a certified Medical Laboratory Technologist for over 25 years and I have seen this type of situation where college degrees and certification are concerned.

I agree with Melissa and actually was just thinking about saying something very similar to amend my previous response - we do defense work at the firm I'm at and a lot of time we will get wrongful termination cases for people who have been terminated after not following through on agreements that were made as part of their hiring - such as they have to complete a degree or certificate or training program within X amount of time.

OK one quick thing too..... his salary was awfully high ( good but seemed high )... for a temp job. Don't temp places usually start at a lower $$ and then if you are hired in go to the regular $$. He was going to get the same salary for being a temp as he was as a hire. So they still had to pay the temp place their fee. They were paying a lot of money to start with to then hire him in to pay even more including benefits? Why hire him then? Stay with the temp place with no benefits. I can see starting at a low salary to see if they like him because why pay a lot for an 50/50 shot?

I'm so sorry about what happened to your husband. That is terrible.

Companies are very abusive in how they treat employees these days - especially temps.
