How long did your nursing nurse through your pregnancy?

Just curious.

If you were still BFing when you concieved how long did your nursling continue to nurse?

We currently just shy of 15 weeks and I've mindfully had to slow down to 1x per day, right now about every other day since we have a history of PTL and will be starting progesterone shots next week.

My son nursed unti I was around 16 weeks.

I think I did the same as Sari - #1 was probably about 4 or 5 months old and I started really limiting his time on the boob - the feeling of him on there made me extremely uncomfortable and "icked out" - could not stand it - apparently this is quite a common feeling for nursing while pregnant mums. I went on the BF'ing board to ask around as I was super nervous that the feeling would not go away and I would hate nursing #2. Was so glad when he weaned and nursing was just fine with little man when he arrived. I was very happy not to tandem nurse and yeah, it was kind of sad but not really when he weaned as he got a nice long run at it and my milk really was not there anymore. It felt like he helped decide when to stop with some gentle pushes from me and there were no tears etc. - It ended naturally and happily so I am glad for that.

Oh and when I weaned DS#2 it went much the same way although I was not pregnant at that point. It started to feel like nails on a chalkboard to my nerves, and I felt done. He is still obsessed with my baboos and likes to cuddle them but was okay when our nursing time came to an end.

Oy! I'm considering myself SO lucky that things haven't gotten painful! That sounds just excruciating!

No tears over here, so I think we're both ready. And Jasmine, yeah still a total boobie baby... even when not nursing our LO would like to keep a hand in my shirt! ;)

I was about 14 weeks with DS2 when DS1 stoppped....he was a little over 2 yrs old. It was very painful from the beginning of my pregnancy and I'm not sure how I hung on to it so long. After a while I stopped offering and I think one day he just forgot.

I nursed completely through the pregnancies all three times. My kids were 2, 4 and 3 at the time. The last time, I tandemed for a year.

It was during the third time as well that DD weaned for about 2-3 months but picked it back up during the third trimester and continued until recently when I desired to stop tandeming.
