Does a politician's faith play any part in whether or not you elect them? Why or why not?

We are a nation of religious freedom, supposedly, so no, it does not affect how I feel about a candidate. But how the candidate USES religion to get votes does! It basically turns me off...

IMO, given our secular gov't, religion should be kept out of our laws. No single version of any religion has the right to dictate to everyone by presuming to pass religious laws to force everyone else to live according to their beliefs.

Yes faith play part in politics .If peoples faith in govt the they vote for them.
