I stay of serious political debate, I do it to push his buttons. Some of his friends are very political, when they try to involve me, I just tell them I don;t discuss religion or politics.
I like Washington. I was a history major and besides the Civil War, Washington is my other favorite part of history. There is a wonderful book, but I can't remember the title. Once I do, I'll come back and tell you. My favorite quote is a Lincoln quote though. “If you look for the bad in people expecting to find it, you surely will.” I think this is wonderful reminder that it is best to look for good in people and to not focus on the bad. And the funny thing - I first heard this when I was a kid watching Polyanna.

Lincoln...he came so far and did so much for our country and then didn't get to continue on rebuilding the work he started.
