Morning, Well this sickie stayed home today, I didn't sleep well and halfway through the night DH informed me I should call in sick today. Everybody else is off to school/work though so I should have a nice quiet day.
Lori, Sorry no delay, hopefully the roads are okay to get to work.
Hilarie, Sounds like you had a productive day yesterday. Phoebe was like Allison, she always hated the drop off. Harry has no problem though. I must admit it's kind of refreshing to have an easy drop off in the morning. At least he's always excited when I pick him up!
Hey (I know this is in response to comments on your blog, but oh well) - I was wondering if you'd be interested in a "Transformation Challenge" (weight loss/exercise/eating)?
Lori-Sorry you didn't get your delay. Maybe early out?
I totally forgot what you all said last night. I was so tired I couldn't reply when I read things.
DH got home at 12:44am & we both just crashed. (I was already asleep) I was up with Lacey & her coughing 4 times last night too. Makes for a long long night. Then she was up just after 6 again. Crazy girl!
Ugh, so busy around here. Today is DH's last day home until next Monday (spring break). I felt bad not posting but felt so overwhelmed. We'd like to get lots of boxes gone before my mom comes on Saturday.
Colleen! I hope you're lurking just so I can say hi! So good to hear from you!
Lori, sorry to hear you are in school today. Like Laura said, maybe early out.
Laura, so glad to hear DH made it home safe and sound. Now it's your turn! Hope Lacey starts to feel better soon. Do you report in to your doctor when you give her breathing treatments? Thanks for the tip on the lazy susan. My mom puts her canned foods in there but I prefer them in the pantry. I moved in my basic supplies, flour, sugar, cornstarch, baking soda, oils, etc, and I think I'm going to love it!
Hilarie, have you had a "bad" weather day there since you moved? I am so jealous! :) Good luck on your project today!
Andrea, glad to hear you are home resting and recovering. How is the bathroom coming?
This morning I finished unpacking the last of the boxes on this level! Yay! They packed lots of Christmas decorations. I thought I got most of it put back in the Christmas bins before they got started. So it's just going in a box for now and I'll put it all back after next Christmas. There are boxes to go downstairs and boxes to go to trash tomorrow but once those are in their places, you won't see any brown cardboard. Lots of stuff on all flat surfaces, but no brown. Yay!
DH and I (finally) put up the cubbies in T's room. I have wanted to do this since the last house. They kind of look like an upside down U with his bed in the space. Does that make sense? I'll have to take a picture. I took one while in the middle but forgot to do the after.
This sat for a while. DH decided we needed to do some more stuff.
No, Hilarie, I wasn't close to the storms. They were closer to both sets of parents though.
Hilarie, isn't the sun great? I sat and soaked in a bit yesterday. That street that the girls get into the dentist so easily.
Lori, glad you are at least getting paid...
Andrea, hope you are feeling better soon. Glad you get to stay home alone!
Wendi, glad you made so much progress. That's wonderful! Have you enjoyed having dh home so much?
Nap? That would rock, but not going to happen anytime soon. Work is actually going pretty well today though. Dh and I went on a walk at noon, so beautiful out. However, we are supposed to get 1-3" tonight.
Lacey completely melted at drop off this morning because her dress was "too baby looking"!!! Seriously, from a 3 yo?!?! What in the world will I do with her? I talked to the director of the school and her advice is to let Lacey wear the stupid flower girl dress every day (with something under it in case she wants to take it off) but to take the power away from the dress. I totally agree with that, but EVERYONE comments on how cute she is when she wears it that I think it is reinforcing her desire to be pretty all the time. When we were at Costco the other day I am not exaggerating that more than 10 different people commented on how pretty or beautiful she was in that stupid dress. But, guess I'll just let her were it until she moves onto the next thing. Wish me luck!!! But if anyone has other suggestions I'd be open for anything right now...
I am dragging something serious. I really need to get the stress under control. I talked to my mom last night on the way to the concert (probably talked her ear off---guess I needed it), and I really think my BP issues are stress related. Add that to trying to lose weight, and things just are not going well. But I'm not sure what to do about the stress. I dont think its ever been this bad---to affect my health. Sigh....
Laura, not sure about the dress. Hilarie had some good ideas.
Hilarie, hope work gets better.
We didnt get home from the concert until almost 10 last night! I walked in the door, and went to bed.
Right now I have Thurs and Fri off. I'm hoping to keep at least one of those days off. I need a down day in the worst way. I need to take up meditation or something....
Ali has another concert tonight. Its the elite boys choir, elite girls choir (both of those will be combined next hear to form the show choir) and band. They're practicing for contest that they're going to on Friday. The girls choir sang one song at the concert last night, and it was the best of everything there. Oh my it was good....gave me goosebumps! (The concert last night was 8 high school choirs from the county---each sang 2-3 songs, then they sang 3 songs together---that was awesome!)

Well-need to go get lunch made.
Laura, sorry for the rough night!
Where has Wendi been? She wasn't close to the area affected by the tornadoes, was she?

Andrea, I hope you get some rest today.
Laura, any chance of a nap for you?
Hilarie, I'll check that out. I'm going to do a challenge from one of the blogs I read.
No chance of an early out. Its nice and sunny now. Oh well...another day's pay, lol.
Yay for a day of pay and sun, Lori!

Laura, do you think she'd go for wearing it AT HOME whenever she wants, but only at home?
