Jogging

After many years ( now 61) of yo-yo dieting and being overweight I have just been diagnosed with Pre-diabetes. However, I have always enjoyed walking for exercise. It just seems now ( post-menopausal) just walking doesn't get me the same results.
I still work full-time at a job where I'm on my feet all the time. I am in good physical condition except I do notice my knees grinding some when I climb stairs. My question is: do you think I could jog/run for exercise to help get my weight and sugar under control? I have lost 18 lbs by improving my diet so I'm on the right track there. Thanks!
Hi Tussey!
Welcome! I agree with Val that running isn't a weight loss solution. It can; however, be a catalyst for changing your behaviors. Couch to 5K is where a lot of us got our start so I would also suggest starting there. And definitely get those knees checked. Grinding doesn't sound very pleasant.
Welcome
I agree with the other ladies that jogging will not solve your problems.
