I noticed some life in my yard...but it was deer. :-) It did make me go investigate though, because it was a spot they usually don't go to. I noticed a few teeny tiny little blades of grass starting to come up! (Of course it's going to take a lot longer if the deer keep mowing the lawn for me.)

Yes, they also prune back some of our bushes, as well as our irises and any leftover onions when they get really hungry in the fall!

Ouuu..how fun you're getting blooms too!! Such a good feeling of renewal!!

Things are blooming here, too, daffodils, crocus, and flowering trees. So pretty!! We have two ornamental Bradford Pear trees in our yard that are budding, but haven't bloomed yet. Maybe by next week they'll be in their full glory! Hope to work in the garden beds a little in the next few days. Husband is doing our taxes now. I'll wait until he's finished before I spring the garden project on him..lol!

I don't see many other spring flowers in bloom yet here, just too cool and it was such a nasty cold winter. We have lots of damage from the weeks of subzero weather,,, thinking we've lost the good part of our bay leave bushes.... I see it all over town. Sad but mother nature controls it all.

Our ground is finally starting to thaw with all this warm weather we've been having. It's supposed to last until mid-week next week at least. Hooray! I was able to pull up some of the dead stuff yesterday and hope to do a little tilling and planning this weekend. I just ordered tons of seeds last night. I'm going to need a much bigger garden!
