Did you prepare your garden in the fall?

We are the laziest gardeners. By the time fall comes we throw in the trowel and head for the hills, so every Spring we have a lot of work to do just to prepare to plant.
Do you clean everything up in the fall, or is there anyone else out there like me???

For the first time EVER, I cleaned it all out, tilled it all under, and covered it in weed block.
DH is the gardener in this house and he mulched all the daylily beds. Don't think he got to the hosta beds though --- all they got was the leaves that blew onto them from our maple trees! Since his garden in perennial, he doesn't do things like till, etc. And this spring, once the daylilies and hostas have shown their leaves, he will undoubtedly start dividing again.

Most of my cleanup is due in the flower beds out front.
