Toddler tantrum removes family from plane

Did you all see this story on the Today show this morning? It appears as if a family of four was asked to leave a flight after their two-year-old had a five minute tantrum.

I feel for them also. I have been in situations where you just can't leave. Dr office, waiting to pick up DD from Pre-k, its a nice theory but not practical. I understand the airline not wanting to deal with it either for all the other passengers .
I don't know.
We rarely even go to restaurants either. More often than not we will order takeout. It's just easier for everyone. My kids get so antsy waiting for their food to arrive and I feel so tense wondering if they'll make it through the meal without a meltdown.
Sigh... being a parent is so fun, isn't it?
Anyway, it is hard- on one hand it is easier to skip out on these things all the time, on the other, how will they learn if they aren't given the experience? I'm just too cautious I think. I worry too much about upsetting others around me. Then again, it seems like people sure do get upset about the presence of children more and more these days!
A coulpe of ladies were being seated at an adjacent table. They took one lok at us and asked to be seated in another part of the restaurant.
