I'm floating between those two seats myself for when I have to move DS out of his First Years True Fit to give it to his younger sibling (unless it expires before he/she outgrows the Scenra we will start him/her in).
The Frontier has higher harness slots at 20", higher weight limits and lasts longer as an HBB. People have complained in reviews about difficulty getting this seat installed with the seat belt (but the same issue has arose with the Nautilus as well).
The Nautilus has 18" harness slots and doesn't go as high in weight, but it becomes a NBB, which the Frontier does not.
They both have some complaints of being too wide, too heavy, and difficult to install. Some of that just seems to be vehicle/ car seat incompatibility and some seems to be user error. I'll be honest, I have no way of really knowing.
Personally, I don't feel your DD needs the extra height and weight the Frontier offers as it sounds like she is a more average size child and your son seems to be more average as well. My DS is 2.5 years old, 39 inches tall and 36lbs which is why I'm looking at the Frontier so I can keep him harnessed until 6 or 7 years old. I feel that you daughter would make it to or past 7 harnessed in the Nautilus. BTW, there is research suggesting that children ages 7 and over are just as safe in a belt-positioning booster as a 5pt harness, assuming they stay seated properly.
Anyways, just my thoughts on them, and HTH some with your decision.
I've read that Britax has lost quality. But to me, mine was still the superior seat. The firefighters who responded were shocked at how not damaged it was, and thankful my daughter wasn't in the Graco because she'd have been unrestrained in the wreck. Furthermore, the other insurance company had no complaints over paying for Britax seats at all.

And at BRU you can try them out in your car to see if one installs easier in your vehicle better than the other. And if you still can't make up your mind, maybe ask you DD to sit in them and see which she feels more comfy in? Some parents do that with the older kids that want a say in their seat.
The Britax Frontier has a 9 year expiration on the whole seat. Dawn
