Rants:

Plans for the week -- I'm going to Israel. This is the biggest vacation of my life.
(And I'm ranting a bit about the cost & the travel schedule 20 hours of travel, unbroken, both ways; and trying to leave my job in a not-disastrous mode for 3-weeks)
This would be a bucket list item for me. So glad you are getting to do it!! GL and safe travels!!
Raves: Dh will he home Friday! He came home over the weekend and we went hiking in some local mtns. In the desert though, things are just different. The poppies were blooming and it was just beautiful, yet rugged with sheer rock walls.
Had a good first half of my week. Went to visit my sis for her bday. Also made an effort to go see my dad and his gf and their (4yo) son. Its weird still, but it felt better than last time. I still cant relax around that woman, but I can at least make eye contact with her, so that's progress. I also was able to be more honest with my mom about how torn I feel when he wants me to visit but I feel like I'm being disloyal to ky mom, mostly cause the gf and son are living there. Anyway, I felt a bit liberated.
Plans: now that we're back home, I need to get the house cleaned up by Friday. We have a playdate tomorrow (Thurs). Planning a date night Saturday if BIL can come watch the little guy.
