I do indeed know what you mean... and I guess, since everyone has to pay for BBC when they live in England and won a television set, whether they watch it or not, BBC isn't as concerned with ratings. But I have to say, I found watching pros dance was a lot more enlightening than watching amateurs do a short version of a classic!
I've never watched a full episode - I'm always curious to see who they pick for the season, but would much rather watch a show like 'So you think you can dance" where you have real dancers who want to make a living dancing!
I dont really like watching that show because I dont like when the poor dancers get judged.
I cant take another show of judging.. It all makes me cringe......
I watch American Idol and that is enough judging for me....
Dancing is the only show that I watch were there is judging.
I am not a fan. I have never watched it "intentionally" but it tends to lead into my usual recorded shows and I have caught the end of a few shows.
Can't stand those judges... and I usually have no clue who most of those "Stars" are! Stars of WHAT?
Funny, becasue, when we lived in London, I never missed "Come Dancing"

This is one of the few seasons where I can actually recognize 70% of the stars.

I'm sort of a fan, though there are some seasons where I have not watched a single episode.
