can ppd make it seem like people are jerks?

I am 7 weeks postpartum, and began having some symptoms of ppd about 3 weeks ago. It seems to me that lately my husband has become a jerk. Just being rude and inconsiderate. He insists that his behavior has not changed. Can being depressed make me feel like he's being a jerk? Because in my head, my thoughts (about him) seem perfectly logical, and he's the crazy one for not seeing it.
I had the exact same feeling after giving birth to my son. My husband suddenly seemed like the biggest, most inconsiderate jerk. Now, whether that's PPD related or not, only you will know I think. It could be hormones - for me it was and they made every little thing seem like a huge deal. But it could certainly be related to changes he's feeling as well. So hard to say for sure. If you do feel like you're experiencing some PPD it's a good idea to talk to your doctor or midwife. Having an open conversation with your husband about what you're experiencing is important too. Just let him know how things seem to you, that you know it could possibly be caused by PPD, and that you really need him to be understanding at this time.
(((Hugs))) and good luck!
Baby blues (hormonal changes) can totally make it seems logical to you and your husband quite puzzled that he is " a jerk" :)
On the other hand new fathers CAN be jerks. "You've had the baby, now get back to doing everything you used to do for me." Even my DH (whom I still love) jets jerky moments when he
It really could go either way. I was very very very angry at all the inconsiderate jerky things my dh did. not sure if he was tired and cranky and actually being a jerk, or if i was tired and cranky and depressed and overwhelmed and everything he did was awful?
i shall chime in again with talk to your dr or mw asap! if it is ppd you will feel soooooooooo much better once things get back on track. then you can have a clear head to decie if he's being a jerk or not :)
