If your friends and family didn't know you were a lesbian, would you consider broadcasting it via Facebook? This guy did. What kind of a reaction do you think you'd get?

If they didn't already know, I'd have to tell my family and close friends in person. I just don't see Facebook as a place I care to put out all kinds of personal information. That said, it looks like it may have worked well for this particular individual; it seems like his friends are very accepting and making a nice effort to show their support. Gotta love that!
Oh how interesting. What great friends he has! I'm not sure I would, though it does tend to lean towards the 'ripping the bandage off' way. I wonder if he came out to his close family in person. It looks like he has a truly great group of friends. I love geeks. :)

I have a second cousin who, when she was in high school, posted pictures of herself kissing a girl and had in her relationship status that she was in a relationship followed by this girl's name.
