First of all, welcome to the board! I think that you probably at what a healthy weight is for your height and body type.

And you have a reasonable level of activity. BUT I would say you are definitely eating too little. Unfortunately you've been maintaining that diet for some time now, so your body has adjusted, so any modifications to activity level, types of food eaten will likely throw things out of whack for your body.

I know this is tricky as you said you were quite obsessed with food intake and diet before. But I would track your food using a tool like sparkpeople for example, over a few days. See what the numbers actually are before you decide on what modifications to make.

This tool for caloric intake recomendations uses a more up-to-date formula than many sites out there - http://bwsimulator.niddk.nih.gov/ to see what you SHOULD be eating.

I would guess that if you ramped up your calorie intake to that number you will gain weight, retain water, and generally be uncomfortable. So gradually increase your calories, and maintain your activity level.

Having such a low caloric intake can contribute to a number of health issues - so you may also want to check in with a doctor to see that everything else is in working order and you don't have any other healthy issues you need to be aware of.

Good luck, and I'd be interested to hear how things go - with an increased caloric intake you should be able to support additional workouts in a more balanced way!

Not a problem. and I do understand your hesitation to go back to anything too regimented. When increasing calories - look at your protein intake and carbohydrate intake - look for low-fat protein sources, and high-fibre carbohydrate choices like oatmeal, brown rice, quinoa.

Let us know how things are going!
