If you could have the back yard of your dreams, what would your oasis look like?

I'm thinking I would just move into Carol's back yard! :smileyvery-happy: But since we're really planning to work hard on our yard this year, it's a good time to dream about what I'd like to have. We were at Target over the weekend ogling all of the pretty things they have.

I think we're going to do something like this rusty urn on both sides of our French doors, with flowers in them...

We really need new patio furniture too. Ours is getting up there in age and seems to be a weird size - I can't find new cushions in the right size, anywhere.

I saw this on Pinterest the other day and it's been part of my "dream backyard" idea ever since!!

Oh gosh, this weekend, I was strolling around my backyard, daydreaming about exactly what I'd want to do! I know I definitely want a multi-level deck... something kind of like this is what I'd ultimately love.

I'd add some built in seating and flower boxes here and there. One day, I will have it! LOL

Our back yard is small, private, and courtyard/square-shaped (the house kind of wraps around it).

Oh that is gorgeous - so green and lush! I love Pinterest for inspiration. I found this photo there too. I've always wanted outdoor dining under lights like that. It seems so romantic...

Beautiful. I think I have deck envy now! That would be nice with some planters and pretty flowers.

We live in a subdivision with neighbors way too close.

My oasis would include a crew to come in and remove all the wild brush and blackberry vines and with some truckloads of dirt to give us a gentle slope down to the creek. I would plant more hydrangeas and other perennials to soften it all up, some stone steps down to the creek and an area for cozy chairs and a fire pit.
