There is a book out there called "when good people have affairs" it might help you pin point the reason you allowed yourself to cross the line. Living in limbo is a tough place to be, only time is going to show you which direction your life will be taking. Continue to be supportive of your spouses feelings, give him room to work through things, also be careful to project what you think he should feel. After all only he truly understands that. You're in the worst stage of things right now, so fresh out after your d-day, and it is totally normal for you to be a mess right now.
This is a process, and it isn't something that can be rushed through, unfortunately.
But please don't lose hope. It really does get better, honey.
