Looking to do something to do w/all the deadspace above my cabinets.

If it matters, the cabinets are white painted beadboard & sheetrock background is a blue/green color......which I wouldn't mind doing something to BRING OUT more the Greener tones.

Ideas?

I really like a clean look above cabinets. Maybe just a plant up there, if you get enough light. Or a cohesive collection of something like ironstone, or pitchers, or plates.

Here's one that just has a plant and may be close to your colors?

This one isn't really above the cabinets, but I like how they have all the white china displayed.

This one just has a few decorative items that are nice. I think I see a quote painted up on the wall too. Looks cute!

Like Kellie, I prefer a clean look but I have seen some interesting treatments... We have a friend who belongs to a rice co-op... And this co-op has gift boxes every Christmas season --- wooden boxes with special scenes either burned in or painted on. This friend displays them on her cabinet tops with the odd knick knack that coordinates...

I have some of those boxes - and can take a picture if you want - they are too big to fit above our cabinets, which go within a few inches of e ceiling (never did figure out why they just didn't finish them off all the way up!). If they did fit, I suppose they could function as storage for rarely used items that otherwise clutter up drawers and shelves... But then, I'd forget share I put them and...

Thanks!

Also trying not to spend a lot of money..... feel like I already have a number of knicknacs which aren't being used....

MAYBE the clean look WOULD be the way to go!
