Wednesday Wishes and Woes

I don't get sick (knock on wood), but just feel very worn down and tired, then I can't see to enjoy the simple things.

I think it is just natural instinct to help our your kids even when you are worn down. It is important to stop and smell the flowers!

Yes, we opened the cabin on a beautiful sunny (but chilly) day. It is spotless!
We do have berries around the cabin, but we actually have a ton more at home. At home we have a enormous blackberry bush and lots of raspberries. We love going berry picking together (with lots of bug spray, lol).
That is a hard question, Brenda! We love both the cabin and the pool which is why we alternate weekends between home and the cabin. If it will be hot and sunny, I'll definitely be pool-side. I love being at the cabin when it is cooler or rainy. I love sleeping in with the rain coming down and then having a lazy day.

No, DH and I tackled it pretty quickly. The cabin is his favorite place in the world. He went back up on Friday to work and stayed overnight. He is building an addition to the cabin (a master bedroom/bath). There are only 2 small bedrooms that the kids use. We sleep on the futon in the family room. It will be nice to actually have a bed to sleep in!
