I've had a bit of a surprise this past couple of months and not in a good way. It seems my 41 years (almost 42)
Hey Deb,
I lurk here occasionally still, mostly checking on the peeps I know from my time here. I've been cheering you on and stalking your chart. I hope this is your month!
If not, just wanted to share the things that I feel have helped me with fertility. I'm 44 now. I turned 44 a few months after DS was born.
A lot of what I feel has worked has been diet related. First off, it took a long-ish time to ttc my DD.... somewhere in the range of 18 months to 2 years. Had a rough pregnancy with her- gestational diabetes, huge fibroids (after birth, 2 of them were cantaloupe sized!) a bleeding scare at 20 weeks, and pre-term labor. I figured that was just all cuz I was 40 when I conceived her. After she was born, I was told I probably wouldn't conceive again, due to my age as well as the size of the fibroids. The doc said it was a fluke I'd even conceived her. I started looking at diet as a way to get rid of the fibroids, in order to conceive a sibling for her.

So happy to hear from you!

Thanks very much for sharing your information with all of us. As I told Sunday, I just turned 40 and although we are done - I am always hopeful that maybe there is just one more out there for us too. If not, I am eternally grateful for our babes. I am really feeling like it is time to improve my overall health and am very interested in what you are taking to improve yours. I will continue to cheer you on and hope that the next BFP really is yours. Hugs, Jasmine
Thank you so much! I, too, have cleaned up my diet. I did drop the cow dairy and went to almond milk (after we ended up in the ED with DS vomiting bright red blood--no other cause but likely milk allergy). My prenatal from Trader Joe's has spirulina and other probiotics--its a horse pill but I think it helps! ;) I've tried to cut the grains out, too. I switched to Ezekial cereals and breads so it is a different variety of sprouted grain and high-fiber.
Something is going on this month--I have felt a tugging in my lower abdomen for days now and I am absolutely freezing cold and tired (women in my family get cold when they are pregnant with boys--go figure) and bloated beyond belief so I'm kind of wondering if something is going on. It's too early to test but I wonder . . . It is just nice to beyond to lurk on pages like Coutdown to Pregnancy and Two Week Wait again. I'm still hopeful.
And I'm out this month, too. I was really surprised at how short my cycle was but when read my natural healing book again about vitex, it said it can take "three to four months to normalize cycles" and the cycles can be longer or shorter in that time frame. So, I guess I just keep hanging on and maybe things will shape up soon.
Deb
Sunday- So nice to see an update from you.
