Good Friday Five

1. Are you making anything new for Easter? I made that new cupcake recipe today with DD, but wasn't able to try them as I am saving them for Sunday. The 7-layer salad I have made countless times before. An oldie, but a goodie.

2. Do you like coconut? Yes, I love it with chocolate (of course, lol). Most people tend to enjoy it on the Bisquick Velvet Crumb Cake recipe (even when they say the don't like coconut).

3. Have you ever gone on a Spring Break trip with friends/family? We used to go away during February recess, but stay home for spring break. We are opening up our cabin Saturday and are very excited!

4. Do you have a unique way to color eggs? No, I just buy the kit. DD and I colored eggs today and had a blast.

5. Do you like Cadbury Eggs? No, I don't care for the cream. I do LOVE the mini Cadbury Eggs . . . totally addicting.

Velvet Crumb Cake is coffee cake-like, but topped with a mixture of coconut, brown sugar, nuts, margarine and milk and broiled. Yummy!

The tropical punch eggs were a very pretty red, the kiwi strawberry was a bit pale & the grape was downright ugly!! Gray & depressing. The pics I saw online showed some very nice blue & green eggs. We had generic Kool aid, but I don't think that effected the coloring really. On the other hand, the turkey was delicious & moist & the pasta was yummy, too. Enough turkey leftover to enjoy a sandwich & not dread opening the fridge & wondering what to do with all that turkey.
