Thomas Kincaid dies at age 54

Thomas Kinkade, the self-proclaimed “Painter of Light,” whose artwork hangs in an estimated 1 of every 20 homes in the U.S. died Friday at his home in Los Gatos, Calif., apparently of natural causes.
How many of you remember him and have either a painting of his or yearly calendar displayed in your home? I couldn't find his 2012 calendar this year and I really miss hanging it in my craft room.
Sadly, he died so young, and will be greatly missed by art collectors around the world.

I have always loved his work and was sad to hear that he has died. I have two of his paintings and a boxed set of inspirational cards with his paintings on them. I think snooty art critics did not appreciate his work, but he had a huge following. I found his art very restful and calming.
