Hi Debby,

It is so good to hear from you and to read your news. I am so sorry you lost your cat. I know how hard it is to lose one of your fir children.

Are you adverse to taking short acting insulin? Ask your doctor if you would do better taking some short acting insuin before meals and less of the long acting basal insulin. This would allow you to more closely match what your pancreas did before you became diabetics.

It is cold and rainy around here and it is supposed to rain for the next four days. I say "enough already!". I know we are way behind on the rain totals but it doesn't appear that we can make up anyway. I want to get my garden planted! I did notice that my strawberry plants are starting to wake up from the winet and I do have apricots on my tree. This is the first time this tree has produced a crop so that should make me very happy! I had a wonderful apricot tree but it got a disease which wasn't cureable and so I had to take it out and get a new one.

I am glad that you stopped by and hope you will stop in again.

No, Mary Frances, I am not against taking short-acting insulin.

Debbie,

How did your doctor's visit go? Did s/he change your meds?

I have been gone to a medical confernece and Abby was very happy to see me. It was quiet this morning after I got back from church so she crawled up in my arms for a morning nap. My she is shedding this year! At this rate I expect her to be nude soon! But all her various sores have healed up and she is finally doing better. She had a really nasty flare up of her IBD and it took her several months to get over it. She is still on Pepsid and that seems to really help. It is so hard when your fir children are sick.
