Warning! The last tip says grow bamboo... Be VERY careful. bamboo spreads like wildfire and is murder to eradicate. I speak from experience!

I questioned that as well, Carol! I had bamboo once, it makes a great fence (the dogs did not realize there was no fence there), but keeping it where it belonged was MURDER!

Those squash borers are why I dont even attempt squash, cucmbers, melons or gourds of any kind any more... Simply could NOT eradicate them!
