The real trick is what you use for the ejaculate if you want to simulate taste and consistency. You can google and get recipes for that as well.
Surely if you just told a guy that you weren't any expert but were willing to practice, he'd be very willing to help? As a guy myself, I'd be thrilled to help if it meant that I was getting enthusiastic, no questions asked oral sex on a regular basis. Even better, the guy can give you immediate feedback too.

thanks so much for the replies. i am happily married for 17 years. i do give the oral sex and do let dh unleash in mouth, but i would like to do it better for him. i dont mind the oral part at all its just the gush, i dont do it often enough for him this way. nomally i will do the oral and then finish with the hand. i hope this isnt too much info. sorry if it is. any advice on how to be able to do this better would be appriciated. thanks again..
Here's another suggestion. The amount of ejaculate in determined by arousal levels, length of time being aroused, and most importantly the last time he ejaculated. Since the amount is a concern for you, I suggest that you give him oral as a "round 2". Or in the evening after you already had sex earlier in the day. That will significantly reduce the amount and consistency of his fluids.
Also, I heard about a product that you might consider. I think it is supposed to neutralize certain parts of the tongue to certain flavors for up to 15 minutes.
