What's the right thing?

My thoughts on this is this baby is going to need strong healthy people and you can be a part of that. It's done...it's a baby and it's not going away. Judgement days are over and time to concentrate on how to be someone this baby can strive to be like. I'm sure it's heartbreaking but it's the way they live their life and no one can dictate how someone exists.

Let it go and be a hero for this baby.

No one has to be a role model! A bigger person knowing the dysfunction this baby is being born into would want to be a ray of normal for a child. Doing nothing and sticking her head in the sand would be painful watching this child growing up imitating the same behaviors.

If it was me I would want to attempt to show this beautiful baby there is love in life!!

You're absolutely right. It's the OP's decision. There's no pressure being placed here it's only good solid opinions. That's what makes these message boards so useful. Each person has an opinion and each one will be different so the OP can make an informed decision that fits the situation.

In my world I would try as hard as hard as I can to make a positive impact on this innocent baby. I know first hand that one person can make a huge difference to a child.
