30% of Adults in 12 States Now Obese

In alarming news, researchers claim that in at least 12 States 30% of adults are obese! According to Health Day News, "Obesity has contributed to a stunning rise in chronic disease rates and health care costs. It is one of the biggest health crises the country has ever faced," Jeffrey Levi, executive director at the Trust for America's Health, said in a news release from the nonprofit organization." More
Does this concern you in any way? Why or why not?
Sure it does... if for no other reason than the incidence of obesity-related diseases will rise with the obesity, adn that means more medical treatment required which means more cost to the consumer... including those of us who don't have the disease. And medical costs accompany loss to the economy becasue of sick days, shortened life spans, etc...
