Hi-
I haven't been on this board for a while and I'm needing some advice from you all. We have been doing online school with our daughter the last few years and we are really feeling bogged down with the regulations the state adds every year. We are really thinking about trying our own thing but it seems so overwhelming when we have always had everything planned for us. We are needing some decompression time and wanting make learning fun for her again without all the restrictions we are facing from the state. She is in 8th grade and I'm not sure where to begin. We are so used to all the busy work and I'm really wanting to get away from that and just have a very fun and relaxing year.
I think I'm ready to withdraw her and try this on our own. Any thoughts and advice welcome as we are needing to make some decisions.
Thank you
Thank you everyone for all the great advice! So far we are loving everything, setting our own pace, not needing to record attendance and hours and mostly seeing her have fun learning again! I regret not doing this sooner but we can't go back so looking forward with excitement.
Thanks again
I'm glad you're liking the changes you've madeĀ
I hope things continue well for you and dd.
