My water broke nice and slowly around noon yesterday, and my little V arrived just over 8 hrs later with the help of an epidural (that wore off around 8 cm - oops!) and a suction. She is absolutely precious and such a polite little baby with the cutest whimper. Because of the vacuum, it was actually the anesthesiologist who ended up making the delivery. I definitely paid for not being able to be active during my pregnancy. LO didn't want to make her final turn either. And just like her u/s pics, she came with the cord wrapped around her legs! The placenta was already calcified, so it was actually quite fortunate she came at 38w1d. At first I was in shock, but after about 20 minutes, I was in love. The little stinker insists on me holding her while she sleeps - she also has carried tons of her mannerisms over from the womb and actively sought out her papa right after being born. She weighed 3300g but is a petite 48 cm. And boy does she know how to latch on... Lol

Congratulations! Glad everything went well. Enjoy that baby girl.
For the Americans, that translates to about 7 pounds 4 ounces and just under 19 inches.

I am glad she is here safe and sound.I am liking the 8 hour labor but it kind of stinks that the epi wore off at 8 cm. Ouch! Can't wait to see a picture of your little one.
Yay, congratulations. Glad everything went well.
